Final street restorations are underway in San Marcos, and work is slated to begin on Pawnee Street near the San Diego County Water Authority’s Second Aqueduct connection facility next month. The connection facility is the point at which the Carlsbad Desalination conveyance pipeline meets the County’s water delivery system. When completed in early 2016, the Carlsbad Desalination Project will produce up to 50 million gallons a day and account for about one-third of all the water generated in San Diego County, helping reduce reliance on imported water.
